The Yooperlite Tower is a polished tower of a striking fluorescent stone. Under ordinary light it looks like a plain grey stone, but under longwave ultraviolet light, the fluorescent sodalite within the rock glows a vivid orange, revealing speckles and swirls of light across the tower. This hidden glow makes it a fascinating conversation piece and a favourite among collectors. Symbolically associated with activation, hidden truth and inner illumination, it makes a memorable addition to any crystal collection, meditation space or UV display.

The Yooperlite Tower is a must-have for anyone who enjoys the element of surprise. It looks like a simple grey tower during the day, but reveals its glowing pattern under a UV torch. It is a fascinating gift for collectors, science lovers and children interested in geology (with adult supervision when using a UV light).

About Yooperlite

Yooperlite is the trade name for a syenite rock rich in fluorescent sodalite. It is named after the "Yoopers", people from Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where it was found along the shores of Lake Superior. In normal light it looks like an ordinary grey stone, but under longwave ultraviolet (UV) light the sodalite glows a vivid orange-yellow in speckles and swirls.

Traditional Meanings & Benefits

• Symbolically associated with activation and awakening.
• Believed to represent hidden truth and inner illumination.
• Associated with revealing inner potential.
• Often used as a focal piece for meditation and reflection.
• Linked with curiosity and discovery.

In chakra practice, Yooperlite is traditionally linked with the Third Eye and Throat Chakras. Yooperlite is often displayed with other fluorescent minerals or with Sodalite.

How to Use Your Yooperlite Tower

A crystal tower is a polished, upright point with flat sides and a pointed tip. In crystal traditions, the point is believed to direct energy upward and outward. Place your Yooperlite Tower on a desk, shelf, altar or bedside table, or use it as the central stone in a crystal grid. Many people position a tower in the room where they want to focus a particular intention, or hold it during meditation. It also makes a striking decorative piece.

Cleansing & Recharging

To cleanse and recharge your tower in the traditional way, leave it under moonlight overnight, pass it gently through the smoke of white sage or palo santo, or use sound such as a singing bowl. Do not use water or salt, as these can damage Yooperlite. Many crystal users like to hold the piece for a moment afterwards and set a clear, positive intention.
